On the 4th we had a much needed relaxing morning. The cousins all played board games together for a couple of hours in the RV while my dad, mom and I sat out on our makeshift patio. Joe was able to fix our potty issue so I am happy to report that it no longer smells! What a difference a day makes. He has had to work on a different project every day, but he doesn't seem to mind it.
After lunch, the cousins treated us to their favorite creek right down the street from their house. The girls have discovered that they love playing in creeks, climbing on rocks and enjoying the refreshment the cool water brings.
Then we had a lovely family cookout to celebrate Independence Day. Joe's Aunt Jewel and Uncle Dave(Papa Joe's sister) came over, as well as some of our cousin's friends. Joe decked out the RV and the patio in red, white and blue for the cookout.
We headed over to Bass Lake to watch the fireworks and they did not disappoint. It was a slower paced day than we typically have on the 4th of July, but we were together as a family and made new memories and that is what matters!
