Yellowstone

Leaving Glacier we had a long day on the road to get to Yellowstone. We still were able to arrive mid-afternoon and enjoy the north loop of the park. Months ago Joe purchased a National Park book that gives information on visiting the parks. It sure has come in handy with tips for getting the most out of your time in the park. We actually really like arriving to the park on the first day later in the day and exploring after the crowds have dispersed. Then the next day we come in early in the morning to complete our explorations. Yellowstone was perfect to do in 2 half days. Plus, we were treated to a beautiful rainbow over the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We couldn't capture the whole rainbow, but we could see it...even the end of it in front of the trees. We visited Mammoth Hot Springs, the Petrified Tree, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and saw many vents. The next morning, we saw a Bison as we came in the park, this made Baba very happy!  We visited the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring and Old Faithful. We walked up to Old Faithful right as it was getting ready to vent, which was very cool! Then we had lunch at the Snow Lodge before heading down to The Grand Tetons. Yellowstone was a unique park featuring a lot of wildlife, hot springs and vents. It was different from the other parks we have visited, but we all enjoyed it and the marvel of God's creation.
