Just as we were getting ready to leave, I remembered that we would be headed from Seattle to the Canadian border. I needed to get out Keegan's vaccination papers so we'd have them ready. I went to where I remember putting them but they weren't there. Tried another place, no luck. I kid you not, we spent 30 minutes tearing this RV apart looking for the bright orange folder with Keegan's papers. So the thing about an RV is that there is limited space, but the space that is available is not easily accessible. We went over and over the same places looking for this folder, to no avail. So here are the options, leave Keegan in Washington, skip going to Canada and reroute, fly me and Keegan home, or call her vet multiple times on a Friday evening. The latter worked and both places she's had vaccines were able to provide us with the papers she needs. That by far has been our most stressful moments of the trip. Not to mention that since we were now going to be late to pick up Joe's parents, the driving was a little bit more frantic.
Luckily, we made it to the airport safely and they only had to wait 15 minutes for us. We were able to pick them up and head for downtown Seattle. We found parking, yeah, and walked down to the Pier for dinner on the water. I love seeing these big cities. We had a beautiful view over the water. Then we walked to Pike Place Market. We missed the fish throwing, but I was able to get a Mocha at the 1st Starbucks!
We left Seattle and headed north to meet up with another life group friend Amy and her 3 kids. Her husband is serving our country overseas. We met at an ice cream shop and were able to spend some time catching up. Her kids have decided that they will buy our RV when we are done with it. We decided we'd like to take her youngest with us on the trip. She's a cutie pie! It was so good to see them! Again, this is the best part of this trip, seeing the people we've loved over the years. Now, with documents in hand...it's onto Canada, eh?!?
I am LOVING reading about your adventures! You are visiting so many places that are near and dear to my heart!
