Yesterday we spent the day in San Francisco. We started with a lunch picnic overlooking the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. We were able to drive along the scenic route and stop to take pics of the Golden Gate Bridge. Bet you never thought one could drive an RV through the streets of San Fran? But, he did it. It was scary and not my favorite part of the day, but Joe managed to maneuver through the streets, view the Full House house and drop us off at the Powell Cable Car station.
My parents, the girls and I rode the cable car down to the wharf. We had the best driver, he was so funny. It was crowded and a little scary when I had to hang off the side so a family with infants could sit down. Megan was hanging off the whole time because she's not afraid of anything. We loved the ride and got to see this unique city. When we got off, we walked one block to the delicious Ghiradelli. That makes 3 trips to Ghiradelli. One for every week we've been on this trip, so I'm going for 6! Joe had already taken the RV to our place for the night and took an Uber down to the wharf to meet us at Ghiradelli.
After Ghiradelli we made our way down the wharf, stopped at the San Francisco Maritime Visitor Center and then on to Pier 39. We had a yummy dinner at Bubba Gumps. That makes 2 trips to Bubba Gump. I guess we're going for a record there too. After dinner, it was very cool outside so we were ready to get to the RV park. We introduced my parents to Uber and we had to take 2 cars to get us all back to the RV park. Oh the adventures we've had. Lots of new things for us on this trip, but Joe always finds a way.
This morning, we drove back to Sacramento to drop my parents off at the airport so they could fly home and recover from their adventures with us. I think they had a good time, and are probably wondering how I'm going to survive the next few weeks. I'm thankful that it wasn't goodbye and we will see them again soon. It was fun to have them along for the ride and live the nomad life with us for a week. Poor Keegan sure is sad that her morning walks won't be as long and that her Bobble is gone. She loves my parents so much, we all do and we are grateful for this fun Summer time with them.
Amazing!! Beautiful pictures and weather!
